On the 27th of July, 2018, Tesla announced that it will be entering the second-generation electric car market with its upcoming Roadster 2.0. This new Roadster is said to be capable of accelerating from 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h) in just 1.9 seconds and has a top speed of 250 mph (400 km/h). The car uses a new generation of a battery called “Ludicrous mode” that enables this extremely high speed. This new car by Tesla is expected to be available in 2020.

The car will be powered by a hydrogen fuel cell, making it the first ever electric-powered hatchback to offer fuel cell power.
