GM has developed the first-ever electric truck, which is known as the Chevrolet Bolt. The vehicle will be mass-produced starting in late summer this year and is expected to reach dealerships by the end of 2018. It has been called the future of commercial vehicles due to its low running costs, quieter operation, and greater energy efficiency than gasoline-powered trucks.

Chevy says that its all-new Silverado EV can run up to 300 miles on a single charge and has an EPA-estimated 80 mpg combined fuel economy rating. Customers will also benefit from lower maintenance costs and fewer emissions, along with a lower purchase price compared to rival models. The First-Ever Silverado EV: Electric VehicleChevrolet Bolt EV Highlights:

The Chevrolet Bolt EV is an all-new model from GM that is set to change the way we think about electric trucks. The low operating costs and quiet operation of the EV make it a desirable choice for cities, and it can operate for up to 300 miles on a single charge.

Additionally, the Bolt EV has an EPA-estimated combined fuel efficiency of 80 mpg. The Bolt EV is powered by an electric motor that generates 151 lb.-ft. of torque and can propel the vehicle from 0 to 60 mph in less than 10 seconds. It also has a fast-charge system that allows it to charge up to 80 per cent in less than 30 minutes. The interior of the Chevrolet Bolt EV is designed to fit a wide range of jobs and customers.

The maximum capacity of the cargo area is approximately 7.0 cubic feet and the maximum load capacity is 1,950 pounds. To increase the range of the vehicle, the Bolt EV has a 60kWh lithium-ion battery that has a capacity of 65 cubic feet. This translates to a maximum range of up to 300 miles on a single charge.

Key stats

The Chevrolet Bolt EV has a maximum speed of 75 mph and a battery range of up to 300 miles. The range also depends on many factors, including the ambient temperature and the weight of the cargo. The Bolt EV has an unloaded curb weight of 3,300 pounds and can tow up to 1,001 pounds when equipped with the towing package.

The towing capacity also depends on many factors, including the weight of the vehicle, the towing capacity of the trailer, and the weight of the trailer. The Bolt EV has a starting price of $37,500 and has an available federal tax rebate of up to $7,500.

Standard equipment for the base-level Bolt EV

The Chevrolet Bolt EV has an expected base price of $37,500, which means that it comes standard with a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system that includes automatic vehicle diagnosis, wireless internet connectivity, OnStar connectivity, navigation, and a 4G LTE hotspot.

Other standard features include the ability to connect to Bluetooth devices, power windows and door locks, cruise control, and keyless entry. The Bolt EV also has a rearview camera and parking sensors that help navigate the vehicle into the garage. The battery is mounted underneath the floor of the cargo area, which is covered with a plastic cover to protect it from dirt and damage. When unpacked, the cover can be folded away and out of the way.

Enhanced technologies for the more expensive Pro edition

For customers that are interested in the Chevrolet Bolt EV, but are looking for additional features and benefits, the Pro edition can be added to the vehicle. The Pro edition of the Bolt EV comes equipped with a heated steering wheel, unique features on the interior, and an exterior upgrade. The steering wheel of the vehicle comes wrapped in Alcantara and has a red accent colour.

The interior of the Bolt EV is equipped with a special colour scheme that includes red accents, red and silver stitching, and a red Pro logo on the centre console. The Pro version also comes with 20-inch alloy wheels, and the exterior gets upgraded 18-inch wheels with black accents.

The Bolt EV Pro also has a few upgrades under the hood. It has a 360-volt charging port that allows the installation of a third-party charging station. Inside the vehicle, there is a special convenience feature that will enable customers to plug in a PHEV charging cord and charge their smartphones.

Bolt EV pricing and availability

Customers that are interested in the Bolt EV can pre-order the vehicle starting in April, and it is expected to begin shipping in late summer this year. The base model of the Bolt EV will cost $37,500, with the Pro model costing $44,500. The federal tax rebate of up to $7,500 is available on the base-level Bolt EV and is expected to be available until late 2018.

Customers who are interested in the Bolt EV should keep an eye out for this rebate. Customers can also expect a low annual cost of operation due to the low cost of running an electric vehicle. The cost of fuel is expected to be the highest expense for the Bolt EV, making up about 63% of the operating cost.

Final Words – Should you buy the Chevrolet Bolt EV?

The Chevrolet Bolt EV could be the future of commercial vehicles, as it has been called the “future of trucks” due to its low running costs, quieter operation, and greater energy efficiency than gasoline-powered trucks. The low cost of operating an electric vehicle makes it an attractive alternative to conventional trucks, and the Bolt EV’s expected range of 300 miles makes it a practical choice for customers who need a vehicle to operate in urban areas.

The Bolt EV’s low cost and quiet operation make it an appealing vehicle choice, especially for customers who need a vehicle to operate in urban areas but don’t need the towing capacity of more conventional trucks. With such great benefits, it’s easy to see why the Chevrolet Bolt EV has been called the “future of trucks.” But despite these benefits, the vehicle is still in its early stages of development, so it’s not yet clear how long it will take to be a mainstream option. However, if the Bolt EV takes off, it could be a great option for those who need a quiet, low-cost option to operate in urban areas.
